A B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering at IIT Madras provides a rigorous foundation in the principles and technologies that underpin aircraft, spacecraft, and other aerospace systems. Admission through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
Imparts fundamentals essential for a career involving design, analysis, construction, testing and operation of airplanes, helicopters, rockets and spacecraft.
Involves courses in Basic Sciences, Basic Engineering and Humanities.
Also involves courses in a Minor stream chosen from a wide variety ranging from Physics for Modern Technology to Financial Management.
Flexibility in terms of professional electives, free electives, self-study courses and pass or fail courses.
An optional individual engineering project in the final year.
