    Experimental Setup
    Ramjet Test Facility
A Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet (SFRJ) is powered with a Fuel-Rich Propellant (FRP). SFRJ consists of two combustion chambers. The FRP burns in the primary combustor and ejects fuel-rich gases through a choked nozzle, which burns completely with air in the secondary combustor and provides thrust. The pressure in the primary chamber is independent of the pressure in the secondary chamber, the flight altitude and the Mach number. It depends only on the burn rate law of the propellant and the nozzle diameter.
The Ramjet test facility has capability of measuring all parameters required for characterization of a SFRJ such as combustion efficiency, thrust, chamber pressure etc.
