The Dean (Students) of IIT Madras is in-charge of OAT. OAT facilities are maintained by Film Club on his behalf. Typically, OAT is used for Institute functions and for screening Film Club movies. Sometimes, it is also allotted for functions conducted by campus clubs/associations. Following is the procedure to book OAT:

• Request form has to be filled and sent to The Dean (Students) by e-mail (or hard-copy). Details of charges and caution deposit are specified in this downloadable form.
• If approved, the Dean (Students) will forward it to Film Club.
• Secretary (Film Club) will send an email confirming the availability of OAT on date of interest. Only after this step, booking of OAT is confirmed.
• Interested organizations/associations are strongly encouraged to check with Secretary (Film Club) regarding availability of OAT on desired dates before sending the filled form.
